ACI Exams update

ACI Dealing Certificate:

• A new topic basket “Asset & Liability Management” will be added to the Dealing

Certificate syllabus.

• The existing topic basket “Principles of Risk” will be revamped.

• The existing topic basket “Model Code” will be adapted to the newly written Model

Code.

• The new syllabus will become effective on 1 August 2013.

• Candidates who register for the current Dealing Certificate syllabus and exam before

1 August 2013 may sit for the current Dealing Certificate exam until 31December

2013.

• The new Dealing Certificate syllabus which describes the changes to the current

syllabus can be downloaded from the ACI website soon.

ACI Operations Certificate:

• The new FX Best Practices Operations of the Model Code will be integrated.

• There will be a new topic basket “FX Best Practices Operations”.

• The new syllabus will become effective on 1 June 2013.

• Candidates who register for the current Operations Certificate syllabus and exam

before 1 June 2013 may sit for the current Operations exam until 30 November

2013.

• The new Operations Certificate syllabus which describes the changes to the current

syllabus can be downloaded from the ACI website soon.

ACI Model Code Examination (new)

• Senior practitioners with a ten years experience in financial markets who are not

currently Dealing Certificate holders (Senior Certification) and ACI Operations

Certificate holders will be eligible for the ACI Diploma if they have passed a separate

Model Code examination.

• The new Model Code examination will also be part of the new ACI Diploma structure

(see below). It will become effective on 1August 2013.

• The syllabus can be downloaded from the ACI website soon.

ACI Diploma:

The ACI Diploma will be restructured (see graphic below). Candidates will have to pass two

mandatory units plus one elective unit in order to be eligible for the ACI Diploma. As for the

eligibility of senior practitioners and ACI Operations Certificate holders for the ACI Diploma

refer to the section “ACI Model Code Examination” above. Apart from core subjects like FX,

FI and MM and related Risk and Derivatives topics, the new ACI Diploma will in addition

offer: ALM, Islamic Banking, Sales, Operations and the Model Code.

The introduction of the new Diploma is planned for 2014.

ACI Global Education Centre online:

Please take advantage of our ACI Global Education Centre online which offers study guides

to prepare for both the ACI Dealing Certificate and the ACI Operations Certificate. Both study

guides will be updated together with new changes in the exams described above.

Additionally you will find a forum and a community site to connect with your counterparts.

You can register for the platform with your national ACI association. If a national ACI or

FOREX association does not exist in your region, you may register through the ACI Head

Office in Paris.
